Tiger will be breaking his silence on the scandal that’s hounded his personal life and his career since Thanksgiving.
It was announced in a press release on Tiger’s official Web site that he will speak before a group of friends and colleagues at PGA Tour headquarters on Friday at 11 a.m. It’s expected that he’ll apologize for his behavior, specifically his numerous extramarital affairs.
“While Tiger feels that what happened is fundamentally a matter between him and his wife, he also recognizes that he has hurt and let down a lot of other people who were close to him," the release stated.
Tiger will also talk about his personal and professional plans for the future. The statement stresses that this even is not a news conference, so reporters at the event will likely not be allowed to ask questions after Tiger has his say.
One announcement he could be making is whether he plans to play at Tavistock in March. The tournament, a PGA event, pits pro golfers from Isleworth, Florida, and Lake Nona, Florida, against one another. And TMZ.com reports that he may even attend the Masters in August Georgia.
