From nailing it on the courts to, well, just nailing it, Serena Williams has got it covered.

Just a few short weeks after becoming the Australian Open champ, Serena is taking on her newest opponent: the Palm Beach Nail School, where she recently enrolled as a student, working towards nail technician certification.

Serena blabbed all about the new experience on her blog this week, including some background info about the program she’s in.

“Immediately after I came home from the Australian Open I researched some schools and enrolled in a course that allowed me to complete 240 hours (that’s what u have to do to get certified at least in fla) at my own pace,” she typed.

The tennis star aims to finish her 240 hours within the year. If she were going to classes full time then the program would take about six weeks.

This is not Serena’s first dabble in the life and interests of the average Jane. She’s also taken classes to become a clothing designer, which she hopes to use to her advantage in dressing up the dowdy scrub duds that are a must while in class.

“Not only do I plan on being the top student to graduate from my nail school, but I also intend on being the most fashionable,” Serena vowed via blog.
