50 Cent’s beef with Rick Ross has landed him in the legal hot seat.
Those who’ve been following the back-and-forth know that 50 (aka Curtis Jackson) isn’t above a low-blow. He’s interviewed Tia Kemp, one of Rick’s baby mamas, who dished the dirt about Rick supposedly faking his whole lifestyle and his past as a prison guard. She also got a book deal from 50 for her part in the beef.
The rapper-mogul wasn’t so charitable to Lastonia Leviston, who also has a child with Rick. Curtis obtained a tape of her having sex with a man named Maurice Murray and broadcasted it on his official Web site. Fifty narrated the video while dressed as his alter ego Pimpin’ Curly.
Now, the New York Daily News reports, Lastonia has filed suit against 50 in Manhattan Supreme Court for releasing the explicit footage without her consent. According to court documents, she told Maurice to destroy their sex tape, but that he instead “transferred or sold” it to 50.
The viral video made its way onto several user-driven video sites, including YouTube.com. The infamous video has since gotten millions of views, and as of last night it was still running on at least one site.
Although Maurice’s face was blurred out, Lastonia’s wasn’t, so she is also suing 50 for unauthorized use of her likeness. She’s also seeking an undisclosed amount for emotional distress.
