Patrice O’Neal doubles up on Comedy Central

Patrice O’Neal will fill the void left by “Chocolate News” now that he’s sealed a deal for two gigs on Comedy Central.

Comedian Patrice O’Neal will fill the void left by “Chocolate News” now that he’s sealed a deal for two gigs on Comedy Central.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Patrice will star in a semi-scripted reality show pilot and his own stand-up special.

In “Patrice O’Neal’s Guide to White People,” the funnyman will become a professor of Whiteness, teaching a class of foreigners and Americans "what White people are about and how to get along with them.” He’ll be taking to class out into the field as he explores things White people love, such as vintage clothing and rock music.

"I thought it would be a great idea if we just did the show from that angle: I’m a guy who tries to learn about White folks," he said

Patrice said the idea for the show came after a conversation where he surprised two White guys with his critique of the guitar riff in “Hotel California.”

No airdate for “Patrice O’Neal’s Guide to White People” has been announced at this time.

Meanwhile, his as-yet untitled stand-up special will shoot later this year.
