Paula Patton is teaming up with the director of “The Game” for a movie about a mad dash to the altar.
Paula is in talks to potentially star in the wedding comedy Jumping the Broom. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Salim Aki will be directing the film, which should give him great practice for when he takes over as show head for “The Game” when it debuts on BET.
Jumping the Broom centers on the fallout when two families from opposite sides of the track collide for a wedding in Martha’s Vineyard. Paula would star as the daughter of the well-to-do family.
Bishop T.D. Jakes and Tracey Edmonds have been attached to the project, slated to go into production this summer in Nova Scotia, as producers.
If the film is picked up, it would be released by Sony.
