VH1 renews Brandy, Chilli series

Brandy and her family have more business to attend to while Chilli continues the search for a man on VH1.

The network announced that it has renewed “What Chilli Wants,” “Brandy & Ray: A Family Business,” and “Basketball Wives,” so each show will be getting a second season.

“VH1 viewers connected strongly with these three new series this year,” said VH1 Executive Vice President, Original Programming & Production Jeff Olde. “We’re so happy that we can continue to share these real-life stories from the worlds of music and celebrity.”

Jeff added that each show raised so many questions in their first seasons that VH1 had to bring them back for some answers! The biggest question is whether Chilli will ever abandon her list and open her heart enough to let the right man in.

“We’re looking forward to answering those questions in their next cycles,” Jeff said.
Not listed among the renewed series is “Let’s Talk About Pep,” which was like a reality version of “Sex and the City” with a dash of “Girlfriends” thrown in for good measure.
