Could Star Jones be taking revenge on “The View” in her upcoming book?
No one can forget Star Jones’ messy exit from the daytime chat show back in 2006. People have been expecting a behind-the-scenes tell-all about the show for years, but she never put anything out in print.
Now, the New York Post reports that she might be putting her experience at the table on blast in a fictional book to be published by Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. The novel centers on the hosts of a show called “The Lunch Club” who "learn that a former colleague — who departed under mysterious circumstances, and is privy to all their backstage secrets — is coming back with a splash.”
Hmmm…that sounds like a familiar storyline. However, Star insists that although her book will be juicy, it’s not based on her life post-“View.”
"I’ve met some of the most fascinating people, heard the most surprising situations, and been privy to so many great stories and secrets. But while this novel will be dishy, it will be a work of fiction."
According to one source, though, folks will be treated to some stories in Star’s books that might make them wonder which of her former co-workers she’s characterizing.
