Recent high school grad Fantasia Barrino has announced a release date for her latest album.
The singer revealed that she will drop Back to Me on July 27 through J Records. Fannie fans itching to get their hands on a copy of the album can pre-order it on iTunes starting June 22.
VH1 viewers who tuned into “Fantasia For Real” got to see her prep the album and lay down tracks like “Move On Me” and “Even Angels.” With a TV show, a made-for-TV biopic and a book under her belt, Fantasia hopes that the album will remind people why she’s a star in the first place.
“Steve Harvey suggested the album title and it describes perfectly where I am in my life right now,” Fantasia said in a press release. “It’s time to go back to how things used to be when America first laid their eyes on me on ‘American Idol.’ I want to focus everyone’s attention back to me and back to music that everyone can relate to and enjoy.”
