When it comes to “True Blood,” HBO is already thinking ahead to next year.
Fans have just bitten into the third season of the network’s bloodthirsty drama, and now we can look forward to a fourth round! Michael Lombardo, president of HBO programming, announced the show’s renewal yesterday.
“The new season of ‘True Blood’ is off to a terrific start, as enthusiasm for this unique show continues to build among both subscribers and critics,” he said. “Weʼre looking forward to more chills from [show creator] Alan Ball and his gifted team next year.”
The fourth season, set to debut next summer, will feature 12 hour-long episodes. Production for the next cycle of “True Blood” is set to begin early next year, and Alan can’t wait to get back at it.
“I am beyond thrilled to be able to continue working with this amazing cast and crew,” he exclaimed. “This is the most fun I have ever had.”
We can only imagine what Alan and his team will dream up for the next round. Between new vampires looking for love with a warm body, werewolves and Alfre Wood, this season has already started off with a bang!
