Steve Harvey spent Father’s Day weekend in Texas with his boys—all 100 of them!

The funnyman hosted 100 young men for his 2nd Annual Steve Harvey Mentoring Weekend from June 17 – 20 in Dallas. While there, the boys heard from community leaders and businessmen, among others, who offered their advice on higher education, heath and the true meaning of manhood.

For Steve, the mission of putting young men on the right path is a task he dutifully carries out so that another generation isn’t lost for lack of proper guidance.

“The mentoring weekend is absolutely critical in the development of a young boy going into manhood,” Steve explained. “If a young boy does not get the proper mentoring, then he’s left on his own to figure manhood out. If you don’t provide proper mentorship, he starts picking up information from sources which give out wrong concepts of what manhood is.”

Steve took every opportunity to impart some wisdom, even while he and the boys took a little time to go fishing.

Steve isn’t stopping with Dallas, though. This mentoring weekend was simply the first of many in a series of stops throughout the country. Check out the Steve Harvey Foundation’s official website for more info on this program.
