If you missed Avatar the first time it took over the box office, you’ve got another shot to see it in theaters next month.

The Sci-fi epic is returning back to the silver screen on August in 3D. Avatar was first released back in December of 2009, and now creator James Cameron wants to re-release a special edition of the film worldwide. He told The Hollywood Reporter, the movie is also extended an additional eight minutes that features "new creatures and action scenes."

On its first run, Avatar grossed more than $2.7 billion globally. Csmonitor.com reports, that the film’s DVD and Blu-ray discs have become the fastest selling in history, moving  4 million DVDs and 2.7 million Blu-ray discs within the first week that it hit stores.

With impressive sales like that, James is guaranteed to have yet another success with the second release.

And it seems that Avatar star Zoe Saldana is still reaping the rewards of her role as Neytiri. The actress has become the face (and body) of Calvin Klein’s new underwear line Envy for his upcoming Fall 2010 collection.

People reports that Zoe and sultry actress Eva Mendes will both debut their ads on New York City billboards this upcoming October.
