Anita Baker hits studio with Snoop Dogg

Anita Baker and Snoop Dogg are finally getting down to business in the studio!

There’s been lots of buzz surrounding Anita Bakers collabo with Snoop Dogg for months. The unlikely pair is working on a remake of Curtis Mayfield’s “Give Me Your Love,” which was part of the original soundtrack for Superfly.

Other than the obvious pimp connection, why would Anita tap Snoop for “Give Me Your Love?” “I had to make it modern,” she admitted. The track will be part of a release she has planned for later this year.

We can’t wait to hear how she and Snoop update the song for 2010, but click here to see Anita and Snoop in action.
Anita also recruited another younger man for a collaboration. She’s teaming up with Tyrese for a remake of “Lately.”
