Lyfe Jennings will take the stage tomorrow in Philadelphia for the 4th Annual Global Fusion Festival.
The all-day concert at the Great Plaza on Philadelphia’s Penn’s Landing runs from noon to 8 p.m. Lyfe expects to go on just before 4:30 p.m., and he hopes to live up to the music festival’s mission.
“It’s a multicultural festival and they do it every year, and they try to get different genres of people to come together,” the singer explained. We’re sure he can get the crowd to commune while listening to his music, but he’s still working out a set list for his show.
“I definitely have to cut stuff down, “ Lyfe admitted, adding that he’s got a surprise for fans in Philadelphia. “I’m gonna do some old stuff, I’m gonna do some new stuff. I’m gonna do some stuff that no one’s ever heard before.”
The rapper said, though, he will definitely drop some knowledge with his hit “Sex” and his newest single “Statistics.” He’s also performing “Must Be Nice.”
Also scheduled to perform are the funky divas themselves, En Vogue. Lyfe is just as excited to see them as any fan in the audience.
“I’m a fan of En Vogue, and everybody says they still look good, too,” he said with a laugh. “I wanna see if the hype is correct!”
