The Bad Girls better fall back because Aubrey O’ Day is returning to TV with her own show on the Oxygen network.
Ever wonder what Aubrey’s been up to after Danity Kane split up (and her unfortunate remarks on Fox News)? Oxygen is about to show you!
The network has announced that it’s picked up a show tentatively titled “The Aubrey O’Day Project.” The series will follow the former pop star as she works to make a comeback in the music business.
"Young women have watched the ups and downs of Aubrey through the years, and they continue to cheer her on," said Amy Introcaso-Davis, Oxygen VP of original programming. "We’re excited to deliver her story as she battles the issues that resonate with our audience, from self-doubt and body image to an intense desire for success and redemption."
During the show Aubrey will be working with a “demanding team of industry professionals,” who expect nothing less than her best. Hmm…sounds a lot like another industry pro she worked with in the past (Diddy).
There’s no word on when shooting for the show will begin, or when it’s slated to air, at this time.
The reality-show-as-hype machine is a tactic many artists have taken to promote a big project. In fact, it’s the way Aubrey built her name. So, do you think this is a good move for her? Tell us why in the comment section below.
