Kanye and Drake to perform at VMAs

Despite last year’s onstage outburst, Kanye West will be allowed onstage for this MTV Video Music Awards.

Hard to believe it’s been a year since ‘Ye snatched the mic from Taylor Swift during her Best Female Video acceptance speech last year at the 2009 VMAs. Well, it’s that time again, and not only has Kanye been invited back as a guest, but he’ll be part of the ceremony too!

MTV announced that Yeezy is one of the first artists it’s confirmed for a performance slot during the show. There’s no word on which song he’ll do, but we can’t wait to see what he brings to the stage.  We expect that Kanye will perform a piece from his still-untitled album, which drops on November 16.

Also hitting the stage this year for the VMAs will be Drake, who is nominated for Best Hip-Hop Video with “Forever.” The clip for “Find Your Love” also earned the Canadian cutie a nomination for Best Male Video.

To see whether Drake takes home a moon man, check out the VMAs when it airs live September 12 at 9 p.m. EST on MTV.
