BET is launching a contest to celebrate the release of Stomp The Yard: Homecoming. The film that brought the popular culture of black greek letter organizations to the big screen.
The BET contest, which started accepting submissions Aug. 16, invites participants to upload a two-minute step performance on the BET Web site. The producers of "106 and Park" will pick two teams to fly to New York and perform their routine live during the show.
The winning group will win $5,000. Producers said that they will be looking for precision, unity and flavor.
“I’m hoping we’ll see some teams on par with the talent in Stomp The Yard: Homecoming,” the film’s producer Will Packer said.
Stomp The Yard: Homecoming, picks back up at Truth University. Collins Penne will star in the film, which promises to deliver high- energy performances and most importantly drama. Collins will play the main character Chance Harris, who is trying to find a balance between school, work and his relationship.
