Chad Ochocinco’s Twitter has gotten the NFL player in more trouble, and now he’s got to pay.

The pro baller was slapped with a $25,000 fine tweeting during the Cincinatti Bengals recet game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday. The digital activity was a direct violation of NFL rules that state a player can’t tweet from 90 minutes before a game to after their post-game obligations are met.

Chad flouted the rule, tweeting at least once between 6:50 p.m. and 9:53 p.m. The league did not hesitate to punish him, but the player feels the charge is a bit to high.

“I’ve been fined by the league a substantial amount of money for tweeting, 1st time twitter hasn’t made me money but cost me money,” Chad
tweeted. “Dear NFL I apologize for tweeting during the game but that was 2 months of my Bugatti payments you just took from me, I won’t do it again.”

Chad did apologize to NFL commissioner Roger Goddell for the offending behavior, but it had a slightly sarcastic edge to it.  He tweeted, “@nflcommish Dad again I apologize 2 you for my tweet,as my father I understand you’ve to discipline, can we try timeout next time please :).”
