We were a little concerned when we saw Brandy in the bottom three with singer Michael Bolton and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino of MTV’s “Jersey Shore”. Considering that those men got some of the lowest scores of the night, she was not in a good company.

Thankfully Brandy was saved in from elimination, but Michael was sent packing.

Honestly, he lasted a week longer than we expected. Last Tuesday, David Hassellhoff was the first star to be bumped from the ballroom this season—much to the surprise of many viewers (S2S not included).

Michael’s performance of the Jive was pretty awful, but judge Bruno Tonioi struck a nerve with his critique when he told Michael it “was probably the worst Jive in 11 seasons.” To add insult to injury, Bruno scored Michael’s performance a 3 out of 10.

In our opinion, it wasn’t an overly harsh comment to make, but judge Len Goodman immediately swooped in and scolded Bruno for being too harsh. This left us wondering where that attitude was when Len was ripping into Mya two seasons ago!

The elimination itself takes all of about 10 minutes, but to stretch out the show, producers book musical guests. This week it was Janelle Monae, who delivered an amazing performance of “Tightrope.” Check out her smooth moves in the video below.
