Lil Wayne has been removed from the general population on Riker’s Island and placed in time out.
According to the New York Daily News, the Louisiana rapper was placed in solitary confinement on Monday for previously getting caught with music equipment. Weezy will stay in an isolation cell for up to 23 hours a day until his release on November 4.
Authorities told the Daily News that there’s no chance the rapper will be seeing his fellow inmates because "he’s not in an area where he is mingling with other inmates – ever.”
Back in May, cops found Wayne with headphones and the charger for an MP3 player. Another inmate was hiding the player.
Before Monday, Weezy enjoyed a fairly active social life while behind bars, often having lunch with other inmates and hanging out with them during recreational time. Now his free time will be spent in solo workouts.
He won’t be completely cut off, though, as the Wayne will be getting one personal phone call per week.
