Lil Wayne sends last letter from lockup

Lil Wayne has sent a last message to his fans, promising them he’s ready to make a big return to outside world.

With just under a month left in his prison sentence, the Louisiana rapper wanted to say one last thank you to his fans as he was being plopped in solitary confinement last week.
“I don’t think people truly understand how much their thoughts and well wishes have helped me through this time in my life,” he wrote in an open letter posted to on Thursday.
For someone that has spent the better part of the year behind bars, Weezy hasn’t been out of the news very long. However, he is anxious to be released early next month.

“Time is ticking and I’m counting every second,” he admitted before telling fans to stay as strong in the final stretch. “Don’t stress over this in 27 days, the ride starts again.”
He ended the letter by telling fans to “keep rocking your ‘Free Weezy’ tees and rocking out to my music. Trust me when I say this is almost over. I love you.”
