Idris Elba is definitely on his way to an Oscar nomination with his latest starring role in the independent film Legacy.

In the film, Idris brilliantly portrays a decorated anti-terrorist black-ops soldier, Malcolm Gray

Young British Nigerian filmmaker, Thomas Ikimi, wrote and directed the film, which also stars Eamonn Walker, Monique Gabriela Curnen, Richard Brake and Clarke Peters.

Legacy begins when a military effort to tackle an arms dealer ends in Malcolm’s capture and torture, he later finds himself back in his Brooklyn apartment struggling to overcome the effects of severe paranoia and anxiety.

While isolated, he reflects on the inconsistencies of the assignment that has gone wrong. He then begins to question the loyalty of his own brother who is a senator on the verge of a presidential campaign.

See what happens as Malcolm uncovers the truth in Legacy, which opens to limited release this week.
