Couple: Kyle Massey & Lacey Schwimmer
Kyle and Lacey’s once-solid position on the leader board has been slipping for the last couple of weeks—ever since that pesky Waltz in week three.
“Starting this competition, Lacey and I were in second place. Then we dropped to third and now we’re in fourth, “ Kyle said. “We can’t keep going down the ladder. We’re looking to climb back up that ladder to regain either second place or first place.”
“His technique is still not where he wants it to be, and I’ve been really hard on him, so I decided to do something special to help him out,” Lacey said.
That “something special” came in the form of extra help from "DWTS" pros Chelsie Hightower and Kym Johnson. Kyle’s Angels performed a miracle! We really liked his Disco-infused Foxtrot—not just for the personality, but also for the technique.
“One thing is for sure. You bring on the feel-good factor,” Bruno shouted. “Nevertheless, This was a Foxtrot possessed by Disco fever. It’s like Richard Pryor kind of gone mad.”
As always, Kyle’s biggest fan on the panel couldn’t contain her excitement over his routine. “I thought you made a very groovy Charlie,” Carrie Ann exclaimed. “You were definitely focused on the technique and leading Lacey.”
Yet again, it was up to Len to poo-poo the whole thing. “It started bad, and it gradually got worse and worse,” Len sneered. “That was a joke. I couldn’t stand it. I thought it was terrible.”
Although, most of the judges’ panel liked it, Kyle and Lacey only trotted off with 20 points for the night.
To see whether that puts him in line for elimination tune into ABC tonight at 9 p.m. EST for “Dancing With the Stars: the Results.”
