MC Hammer releases Jay-Z diss

MC Hammer gave himself a new name before issuing a warning to Jay-Z this morning.

In what has to be the most unexpected rap beef ever, Hammer released a diss track titled “Better Run Run” under the new moniker King Hammer.

The single and video were sparked by Hov’s line on Kanye West’s track “So Appalled.” Jay took shots at Hammer’s financial woes, spitting, "And Hammer went broke so you know I’m more focused. I lost 30 mil so I spent another 30, cause unlike Hammer 30 million can’t hurt me."

Those two lines set Hammer off, and he immediately promised to deliver a few choice words for Hov in a diss track that was supposed to be released on Halloween. Unfortunately, King Hammer missed his own deadline due to technical issues, but the video was posted to YouTube this morning.

“Everything in God’s time,” Hammer tweeted minutes before posting the video. “We fought "Hell" to get this out.”

The song harps on the belief held by some that Jay-Z is either part of the Illuminati and/or has sold his soul to the devil in order to achieve all of his success. Hammer even insinuates that Beyoncé may have been part of the fabled deal.

"The Devil said ‘I’ll give you the world,’” Hammer raps. “’I’ll take it plus give me a girl. Mister Devil can you give a sign?’ He said, ‘Throw the rock up. That’s one of mine.’"

He even depicts the devil chasing a Jay-Z look-a-like through the woods and sitting in on his writing session for “Empire State of Mind.”

Despite the venom Hammer spits at Jay during the song, he tried to end the video on a positive note by preaching to Hov and baptizing him in a lake.
