Egypt Sherrod is spreading a little holiday cheer and keeping people warm with a tour of good will.

The WBLS DJ announced that she’ll be partnering with several charities for the First Annual Egypt Gives Back Tour. The five-city drive began today in Brooklyn at the Brooklyn Center For Performing Arts, where generous people can donate unwrapped toys, cash and/or clean coats (preferably new or barely worn) to help families in need.

This holiday season will be tighter than ever before for many families across the country, and Egypt feels compelled to help as many people as she can in her tri-state area.

“I’ve always felt a sense of responsibility to utilize the power I have behind the radio microphone to serve a much greater calling to help our communities,” the recently married radio host said. “The Give Back Tour is a big step in that direction.”

Egypt will broadcast live from the donation site every day this week from Monday through Friday, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. EST. Tomorrow, the drive rolls over to the Uptown Grand in Harlem.

The drive will benefit charities such as Toys 4 Tots, The Children’s Aid Society, New York Cares, Jersey Cares, and Hudson Cradle, just to name a few.
