Cee Lo Green and Gwyneth Paltrow are expected to perform together on “Saturday Night Live.” Not since Eminem and Elton Jon’s legendary Grammy performance has such an unlikely pair collaborated for music lovers, especially considering that Gwyneth’s claim to fame is acting, not singing.
The buzz is that fans might be treated to another brilliant Grammy-caliber collaboration on the January 15 airing of “SNL.” Although a joint performance between the two is only speculation right now, they reportedly decided to record together after Gwyneth performed Cee Lo’s hit “Forget You” on “Glee.”
“We’re actually working on something. We’ve been considering a few things, actually,” Cee Lo told E! News in December.
The mega-hit from Cee Lo’s latest album, The Lady Killer, has already earned four Grammy nominations, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
Obviously, Cee Lo is no stranger to musical performance, and Gwyneth will be adding to her musical repertoire with her upcoming film, Country Strong, which will have her stepping up to the mic in a big way.
The upcoming “SNL” appearance will be Gwyneth’s third as host, but Cee Lo’s first as a solo performer.
