Mariah Carey’s getting a little of each

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are buying baby items in pink and blue.

People.com reports that the proud parents, who are expecting twins, will be having a boy and girl. This is the latest detail that Nick and Mariah have let slip about their babies. The couple has otherwise kept quiet when it comes to news about their upcoming bundles of joy.

We’re not sure what the Cannons’ son’s room will look like, but we know mini-Mimi will be surrounded by lots of frills, butterflies and the color pink.

Tyler Perry takes over for Morgan Freeman

Tyler Perry has ditched Madea (for now) and signed on to play Alex Cross in an upcoming film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tyler will take over the role of Alex, made famous by Morgan Freeman in Kiss The Girls and Along Came a Spider, in a movie to be directed by Rob Cohen. A script for the project has already been written, but it still needs to be refined. There’s no word on the plot just yet.

We reported months ago that Idris Elba was also slated to play Alex in an independent film, but that project has been put on hold for now.

    Is NeNe intimidating?

At least one of NeNe Leakes’ fellow celebs on this season of "Celebrity Apprentice" is scared of her. Supermodel Niki Taylor said, "She came on a little bit strong." She added, "There’s a very sweet side to NeNe. She works hard. She brings it."

"I told her she needs her own show," she said.

Rumor has it that NeNe may not return to "Real Housewives of Atlanta," so maybe a new NeNe show is on the horizon.
