    Is Nahla Black?

That’s the question that’s come up in the heated custody battle between Halle Berry and her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry.

Halle alleges that her ex, who is White, has a real problem with her referring to their daughter as Black.

However, Halle, whose mother is White, believes in the “one drop” theory, which would categorize her daughter as Black.

"I feel she’s Black. I’m Black and I’m her mother, and I believe in the one-drop theory," Halle said in an upcoming EBONY magazine interview.

The “one drop” theory holds that people with even a single drop of African blood in their bodies are considered Black. This belief was most prevalent during the nation’s slavery and antebellum years, when that one drop was enough to separate free from enslaved and privileged from poor.

    1. He’s right to be upset about Halle referring that their daughter is Black. After all, she didn’t make her by herself. Stop excluding his nationality, Halle!
