Could Kevin Hart be standing in for Bernie Mac on a Kings of Comedy reunion?

According to BVBuzz, there has been talk of a Kings of Comedy reunion tour for more than a year. Ideally, funnymen Steve Harvey, Cedric the Entertainer and D.L. Hughley would all be onboard for the prospective show.

However, since Bernie Mac’s tragic death two years ago, the comedic court is down one king. That’s where Kevin Hart comes in. Reportedly, franchise producers are looking to bring him onboard for the tour, if one comes together.

While Kevin’s camp claims that there are talks of him joining the tour, the show’s producer Lathan Entertainment said it "knows nothing about" such a deal being in the works.

Whether or not such a tour including Kevin actually happens remains to be seen, but he would be a logical addition to the show. The Original Kings of Comedy Tour kicked off in 1997 when D.L., Steve, Bernie and Cedric were each already enjoying incredible success. Over the past few years Kevin has risen to the top of his game thanks to comedy specials such as Seriously Funny. There’s also word that he’s been approached about turning his current tour, Laugh At My Pain, into a film.
