Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry have decided to play nice in the custody battle over their daughter Nahla.
A source close to Gabriel and Halle told RadarOnline.com that the pair have declared an uneasy truce. That is to say that, although the pair won’t be broadcasting love tweets any time soon, they won’t be arguing either. That’s a start, right?
Reportedly, Halle won’t be seeking sole custody of Nahla, despite an earlier statement released by her rep that claimed the actress was "concerned" for the child’s safety when left with Gabriel.
What prompted the change of heart? According to the insider, "I think Halle started realizing that things were getting out of control. It was just getting too nasty and too public."
Keeping their personal drama private is one thing the pair seem to agree on.
"Gabriel has not responded to the allegations that have been made against him," one source told RadarOnline.com. "His thing has always been that he will save the truth and fight, if need be, in the privacy of family court, where no cameras or press are allowed."
At the feud’s peak, there were claims that Gabriel had at one point used the ‘N’ word, and Halle had supposedly called him a sperm donor. After that Halle and Gabriel cut off all communication, but that didn’t last for long.
"Gabriel and Halle even resumed talking again last week, and it seems that Halle is going to be making it easier for Gabriel to spend time with Nahla, which has been a sticking point between the two up till now," the source said. "Hopefully this is the start of the two of them being able to form some kind of workable co-parenting relationship for the sake of their daughter."
