    Sinbad shows out for WE TV
    Sinbad is taking the time-honored route of getting a reality show to stage a comeback.
    Entertainment Weekly reports that the comedian has worked out a deal with WE TV for a reality show, tentatively titled "Sinbad’s Family Affair." It will follow Sinbad as he attempts to restart his career and handle family life.
    "It’s not your run-of-the-mill reality show," he told EW. "I’m looking at this medium to find ways to be creative. If done right, reality TV can be funny."
    "Sinbad’s Family Affair" will premiere on April 12 right after "Braxton Family Values," starring Toni Braxton, her sisters and her mom.
    The Rock returns to WWE
    Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is about to step back into the ring to see if his adoring fans can still smell what he’s cooking.
    The pro-wrestler-turned-actor announced this week that he’ll be hosting Wrestlemania 27 in Atlanta on April 3.
    From the looks of this promo, he hasn’t lost that X Factor that made him star! OMG why is this man so much fun to look at? We’ll definitely be tuning in.


    Kelly Rowland gets ink
    Now that Kelly Rowland’s 30 years old, she figured it was high time to get a tattoo.
    The "Commander" singer tweeted a pic of herself in the artist’s chair and the finished product, which reads "Masterpiece," this week. Check them out below!

    Cee Lo Green to open Rihanna’s tour
    Cee Lo Green is about get loud with Rihanna on her tour this summer.
    Rihanna announced yesterday that she’s bringing the "F*ck You" singer on the road as her opening act for the LOUD tour, starting June 4 in Baltimore. She couldn’t be more excited about it.
    “I’m a huge fan of Cee Lo since his days with Goodie Mob and with Gnarls Barkley," she said in a statement. "He’s a musical genius, continually reinventing himself and I’m thrilled to have him join me on tour.”

    Believe the hype  

    Flavor Flav, who recently opened his first chicken restaurant, is planning a return to the entertainment genre that resurrected his career.  

    Flav, 51, reportedly has an idea for a new reality show, and he’s been pitching it to interested networks.  

    The idea?  

    Cameras will follow the former Public Enemy hype man as he returns to school to earn his high school diploma.  

    Flav dropped out of high school in the 10th grade.  

    “I want this show to be able to influence people my age that if you dropped out of high school when you were young, it’s never too late to go back and get your diploma,” Flav said. “I’m just looking for a high school to shoot my show in.”


    Vick reneges on Oprah  

    So, maybe Piers Morgan will get Michael Vick on his show before Oprah Winfrey.  

    Earlier in the week, Oprah’s camp announced that Michael would be appearing on her show, scheduled to air later this month.  

    However, it seems that Michael has changed his mind.  

    “After careful consideration, I will need to postpone the taping of the Oprah Winfrey interview scheduled for February 22. I admire and respect Oprah and hope to be able to participate in an interview in the future,” Michael said in a statement.  

    Even if Piers does snag Michael first, there will be no exchange of money between him and Oprah. The two had a friendly wager about whose show Michael would appear on first. However, the bet was called off because Michael did not want to be associated with gambling.


    MJB headlines 2011 Essence Music Festival

    Mary J. Blige will headline this year’s annual Essence Festival in New Orleans.

    Trey Songz, Boyz II Men, Fantasia and Charlie Wilson will also be special guests at the event, held July 1-3.

    Others slated to perform include Stephanie Mills, Macy Gray, Dwele, Alexander O’Neal & Cherrelle, Mint Condition, Kelly Price, M.C. Lyte and George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic.



    Brandon Banks still hospitalized

    Washington Redskins player Brandon Banks, who was stabbed outside of a D.C. nightclub on Sunday, is still being hospitalized, according to a source close to Banks.

    “Brandon is still in the hospital. His friend [Christopher Nixon] isn’t doing well. Brandon is more seriously injured then he originally thought he was. He was supposed to be released early this week,” a source told Sister 2 Sister. There is no scheduled release for Brandon at this time.

    Christopher was also stabbed during the altercation and it’s believed that Brandon was injured while trying to help his friend.

    Reports indicate that Brandon sustained a collapsed lung and has had a tube inserted into his chest to help aid his recovery.
