Shaunie O’Neal is giving the final word on rumors that hounded “Basketball Wives” this season.
Shaunie sat down with Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club” to reveal that Royce Reed will be back next season. Any speculation about her not returning was all rumor. She can’t talk about [Dwight Howard], that is very true but Royce has established her own fanbase,” Shaunie said. “There are some people out there that love Royce.”
Shaunie added that Royce establish her presence on the show despite first impressions. “I did think Royce was like the wild card at first and she kind of was,” Shaunie admitted. “We opened up season 1, and she was doing the booty dance and after she did that it was when the world saw it and had stuff to say.
And as far as Shaunie knows, Evelyn’s spot on the show next season is locked up despite rumors that she has threatened to quit “Basketball Wives.”
“Evelyn hasn’t told me that,” Shaunie asserted. “We were talking and I’m being as supportive as I can as a friend and holding her down. No, she hasn’t told me she’s leaving and everybody has signed up for season 3.”
There’s word now, though, that Evelyn is demanding a hefyty raise to return to the show for another run. TMZ.com reports that she is seeking a salary of $20,000 an episode from producers. Reportedly, the ladies of the cast each pull in about $7,500 per episode, so Evelyn is asking for a $12,500 raise!
However, Shaunie acknowledged that Evelyn might be pulling double duty by doing her own show with fiancé Chad Johnson. “That’s an alleged thing but that depends on the legal side,” said Shaunie. “If [it's] the same network…that whole thing is how if I have any parts.”
