Nate Dogg might be gone, but he’s not forgotten in our rundown of his most memorable tracks.
News that Nate passed away last night left most everyone floored, but we’re paying tribute to the hip-hop great with a look back at his Top 5 videos.
Nate was famous for all of his collaborations, but make no mistake, he was strong enough to carry his own song. “I Got Love,” one of his first solo singles, truly captured the California swag that he helped create. And who else would have the nerve to drive down the street backwards?! The singer got lots of love while rolling through his neighborhood in the video below.
Nate was always there to represent the West Coast! When he hooked up with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Kurupt for “The Next Episode,” it took us back to the ’90s.
No Nate Dogg video roundup would be complete without his appearance on Warren G’s “Regulate.” It reminded everyone that while Nate might look laid back at all times, he is not one to be played with!
Of course we had to include “How Long Will You Mourn Me?,” Nate’s duet with Tupac Shakur, who was also gone well before his time.
After all that West Coast love, it’s important to remember that Nate was always open to working with others despite their geographic affiliation. Take Ludacris’ “Area Codes,” for example!
