‘All My Children’ abandoned?
The popular daytime soap, “All My Children” may be at risk now that ABC is considering cutting back on its soap operas.
According to Deadline.com, the 41-year-old soap is last in the ratings, making it vulnerable despite having characters–such as Susan Lucci’s Erica Cane, Debbi Morgan’s Angie Hubbard and Darnell Williams’ Jesse Hubbard–who are now a part of American pop-culture.
Deadline reports that the three ABC soaps (“All My Children,” “General Hospital” and “One Life to Live”) received a boost in ratings when SoapNet picked them up, re-airing the day’s episodes again in primetime. However, rumor has it that SoapNet may be becoming Disney Junior next year.
