Couple: Hines Ward and Kym Johnson
    Dance: Cha-Cha-Cha

    Don’t sleep on Hines Ward!

The first thing out of his mouth was that he “can’t really dance.” Lack of dance skills aside, however, he said, “I wanted to do ‘Dancing With the Stars’ because coming off the loss of a Super Bowl this year, I’m ready to snatch that mirrorball trophy!”

Lucky for Hines, he’s paired with Kym who touts, “I’m known for turning big, clumsy men into refined dancers.” This season, she’s living up to the hype! After a few sessions with Kym, Hines was definitely shaping up to be a major contender for the trophy–despite his playful attitude in the studio.

“Don’t let the smile fool you. I’m in it to win it,” Hines warned.  “I want to show America with my Cha Cha that I got the hips, I got the swivel, I got the swag.” That’s not misplaced confidence or smack talk because he delivered a crisp, fun Cha-Cha-Cha. We loved it!

If we had to compare him to anyone on “DWTS” of seasons’ past, it would be Kyle Massey. On first glance, you might think Hines would come out and bomb, but he surprised us! He’s got a likability that will earn him fans on the judges panel and among viewers.

Hines has hustle! He was light on his feet and his moves were clean. He also had control that most competitors don’t exhibit until until the second or third week.

That exuberant performance earned Hines and Kym a score of 21.
