‘GMA’ invites Chris Brown back

One day after Chris Brown allegedly flew into a violent rage, “Good Morning America” has graciously invited him back to the show.

“We extended the invitation to him and sure hope he takes us up on it because I’d love to have another chat with him,” said Robin Roberts, whose repeated questions about Rihanna led to Chris’ alleged meltdown.

ABC has decided not to press charges against Chris who is believed to have shattered a window in his dressing room and damaged other property.

While many legal experts speculated that his outburst might lead him back into the courtroom, TMZ.com reports that Chris, who is currently on probation, is safe unless New York decides to prosecute.

Robin, who has interviewed Chris before, said his reaction was surprising considering that his camp had approved the questions beforehand.

“Any time we have a guest, we let them know ahead of time the subject matter and the topics. And even right before the interview I let him know,” Robin said. “I was shocked like everyone else, because we’ve had a wonderful relationship. I’ve been to his home; he’s very gracious, and we’ve had easy conversation.”

While Chris seemed to want to steer the conversation toward the release of his latest album, F.A.M.E., his behavior overshadowed his efforts to draw attention to his music. He took to Twitter to try to keep his followers focused.

The majority of his fans who commented on the S2S Facebook page and site felt Robin attacked Chris.

“I don’t blame Chris reaction … I watched it and he tried to lean away from her stupid questions that are really old to everyone but she kept on…,” wrote Facebook user Msmaybell.

However, not everyone was sympathetic toward Chris.

“He’s still a little boy, and everyone who wants to put this ‘abuse thing’ behind him, most of them are juvenile. Putting your hands on a woman isn’t something that should just ‘go away.’ If he’s not intelligent enough to respond in a manner to smooth things over, he hasn’t grown up yet,” Facebook fan Demeach Green wrote.

Ironically, Robin said she wants nothing but success for Chris, who is scheduled to perform on ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” on Tuesday.

“I’m pulling for the guy,” she said.
