Lil Wayne talks retirement

Get all the Weezy that you can ‘cause in five years, he’s retiring to be a full-time dad.

“I’m gone at, like, 35. I’m serious… I have four kids. I would feel selfish not to—at that age, at 35. I would feel selfish still going to the studio when it’s such a vital point in their lives,” Lil Wayne told Angie Martinez on her radio show.

“This is a solid plan, and I stick with my plans. I’mma be a full-time dad,” said Weezy, who said he’ll be the first of the Young Money crew to lay down the mic.

Wayne said he’s more concerned now with catapulting the careers of the other Young Money members.

“I want them to do way better than I do. I get paid for that. I want their singles to be hotter than mine. That’s why Nicki comes out after me. It’s all a plan,” he explained.

However, he admitted that he hasn’t actually listened to Drake’s or Nicki’s albums. “Drake and Nicki, don’t take that no kinda way,” he said, adding that he does approve each track before it’s even included on the artists’ LPs.

Weezy also said he hasn’t tuned into the show featuring his ex-wife, Toya, but he is a “Jersey Shore” fan.

“I just started watching ‘Jersey Shore.’ The other day, Vinny had on a ‘Free Weezy’ T-shirt. I rocks with ‘Jersey Shore,’” he said.

Wayne also rocks with Eric Benét, Kanye West and Rick Ross. Watch the clip to see for yourself.
