The two sat down with “Entertainment Tonight” to discuss their characters and admiration for one another.
“I love Queen Latifah. There’s only one difference between us. She’s cool, and I ain’t,” Dolly said.
In the film Dolly plays the widow of a choir director who wants to inherit the choir, but the directing duties get passed on to Latifah instead.
“Our characters are kind of like enemies,” Dolly said.
