Alicia Keys will be taking a break from changing diapers to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Songs in A Minor with fans.
The event, titled Piano & I: A One Night Only Event With Alicia Keys, is scheduled for June 30 at the Beacon Theatre in New York.
“It’s incredibly surreal for me to be celebrating the 10th anniversary of Songs in A Minor. Looking back on the journey, I’m truly moved by my fans and friends who’ve been with me and have supported me throughout my career. This album is possibly the most precious to me,” Alicia said.
On June 28, Alicia will also be releasing an anniversary disc that will include hits from the first album and previously unreleased tracks. The collection will also be available on vinyl for the first time.
June will be a busy month for Alicia, who’s been out of the public eye since she became a new mom. She will also be performing a one-night-only show in London, and she’s been announced as a performer at the 2011 BET Awards.
Songs in A Minor, the debut album from the R&B artist earned Alicia five Grammy Awards and sold 12 million copies. Fans can pre-order the upcoming anniversary album at aliciakeys.com.
