Montel William’s charges dropped
Montel Williams is in the clear after his January run-in with the TSA. The New York Daily News reported that a judge has dismissed the drug paraphernalia possession charge.
The former talk show host was detained at a Milwaukee Airport after airport security found a marijuana pipe in his luggage. Montel has said that he uses pot to treat the pain he suffers as a result of his multiple sclerosis.
“We concluded that this case was not provable,” Chief Deputy District Attorney Kent Lovern said.
Montell’s just happy to be done with the whole issue. “This isn’t about somebody trying to do something illicit. I’m really just trying to take my medication,” he said. “Hopefully this issue and this incident will spark some conversations that will help more rational minds find a way to solve the problem and take the patients off the battlefield.”
