Jaden Smith becomes millionaire with movie
Jaden Smith is now one of the highest-paid child actors in Hollywood, thanks to The Karate Kid.
TMZ.com reports that Jaden, who was paid $190,000 for the 1984 remake, is now up for a hefty bonus. The move has made $150 million since it hit theaters last year, and that makes Jaden eligible for a $2 million bonus under the terms of the contract he signed.
It’s expected that Jaden will continue to make even more money from The Karate Kid in the future. There’s no word on how much extra cash Will Smith’s Overbrook Entertinament, which produced the film, has made.

Neffe releases single
Neffe Pugh has been in the recording studio and has released a track titled, “You Ain’t Did Nothing.”
The track, produced by Neffe’s man Soullow, was released via iTunes on Thursday. According to Soullow, Neffe’s been working on her music career for years.
“She’s been working on music for like three years—in and out the studio. We’re working on an album right now. It’s going to be special. The album is coming out around November,” he told Sister 2 Sister.
Soullow described the track as an “empowerment song for women,” like Destiny’s Child’s “Bills.” However, it’s a rap song, not R&B.
Soullow said there are no plans for Neffe’s sister, Keyshia Cole, to appear on the album.
“She’s doing all solo stuff on her own,” he said.
