T.I. release expected September 29

T.I. is expected to be released from prison on September 29 after serving a months-long stint behind bars.

The King of the South was sentenced to 11 months in October of last year when authorities stopped him and wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle and noticed the aroma of marijuana in their car.

The drug offense was a violation of parole for T.I., who was previously convicted of weapons charges.

He is currently serving time at the Arkansas Federal Correctional Institute where he has at least one mark on his behavioral record for engaging in a sexual act with Tiny during a visit.

Before heading back to prison last year, T.I. promised that he’d learned from his mistakes and wouldn’t be repeating them.

“I don’t have the age, the energy or the attitude to continue in this cycle—in this ongoing process of destruction and disparity on my life. I got too many people depending on me,” he said.

Fans are hoping the rapper can live up to that goal.
