Keyshia Cole, Trina upset by BET snubs

Keyshia Cole and Trina aren’t feeling the love after being left off the list of noms for the 2011 BET Awards.

Keyshia took to Twitter today, feeling a little snubbed by BET. After a successful reality show that spawned another hit series for the network, you’d think that BET could hook Keyshia up with at least one nod.

Not so much! Keyshia, who dropped Calling All Hearts in December, was nowhere to be found among the list of nominees, announced yesterday. Not even for the Best Female R&B Artist award, for which Beyoncé, Marsha Ambrosius, Keri Hilson, Jennifer Hudson and Rihanna are all competing.

The singer tweeted her disappointment, writing, "That awkward moment when u realize in everyone’s eyes [you’re] not the sh*t anymore. #POW. I’ve officially got the memo. Thank mtv/bet."

And for those thinking Keyshia is just giving sour grapes, the singer ran through her credentials. She’s worked very hard over the years for her accolades, but no luck so far.

“Its like this. Been on the scene 7 years. I was 21 when I got signed. 7 # 1 records. No awards 4 none of them/still touring. It is Wht it is,” Keyshia tweeted before taking the posts down a short time later. “These types of thing R the way they R. I’m not upset about any of it in any way. I hope everyone that goes has a wonderful time.”

Trina, who was also snubbed by BET in the Best Female Hip-Hop Artist category, didn’t take it as well. She tweeted, "f*ck BET…"
