For those who thought being the new mother of twins would mean no new music from Mariah Carey for a while, think again.
“You’re definitely gonna see new phenomenal music from Mariah,” hubby Nick Cannon told the New York Daily News. “She’s planning to have a record out this year.”
Apparently, while carrying Moroccan and Monroe, Mariah was birthing new music.
“She’s been working away, and we have a studio in the crib, and the pregnancy has totally inspired her on so many different levels,” Nick said.
Although her 2009 effort, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, didn’t achieve the success as some of her previous albums, the Grammy winner is still considered to have one of the most recognizable and revered voices in the industry.
One thing is for certain, though: Moroccan and Monroe will know mommy’s music well. Not only was she recording tracks while the twins were in her belly, Nick said Mariah’s hit “We Belong Together” was playing in the delivery room when the twins were born.
