Ladies and gentlemen, Kelly Rowland has arrived! The 30-year-old R&B sensation’s new hit “Motivation,” featuring Lil’ Wayne, made it to #1 on the Billboard Charts—and Kelly isn’t finished yet.
The former Destiny’s Child member went from #2 to #1 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop chart, knocking last week’s chart topper, “Sure Thing” by Miguel, down to #2. (And ya’ll didn’t think Kelly could bump like this) This is Kelly’s biggest solo hit to date. This is amazing seeing as how Kelly only gave some “Motivation” to Urban and Rhythmic radio leaving out mainstream and Pop, ThatGrapeJuice.net reports.
But there is more! According to SingersRoom.net Kelly has just confirmed as a judge on Simon Cowell’s UK TV series, “The X Factor”. Replacing judge Dannii Minugue, who left earlier this month, Kelly will join judges Louis Walsh,Gary Barlow and Tulisha Contostavlos.
Why? Well Kelly said she just loves Simon. “’The X Factor’ is an amazing show. I love Simon because he’s so [honest]. Everything he says, I agree with,” she said.
Meanwhile on Billboard’s Hot 100, “Motivation” climbed #26 to #21. In addition, Kelly’s record is making moves on its Digital Songs and Ringtones chart.
All will lead up to Kelly’s forthcoming Here I Am sophomore LP.
