T.I. helps his fellow inmates
T.I. is bringing people together while he’s behind bars. MTV News reports that the Atlanta rapper, who is currently in lockup at an Arkansas prison, recently backed a trip that brought 46 people to visit family members incarcerated at Forrest City Correctional Facility.
In all, 14 inmates got to see their loved ones as a result of T.I.’s generosity.
"I’ve been blessed to receive tons and tons of mail from my fans, family and friends, as well as get visits on a regular basis. Unfortunately some guys aren’t as fortunate," T.I. said in a statement. "There are a lot of good dudes in here that haven’t been able to see their loved ones in years. Their families can’t afford the trip so I wanted to help out."
Naomi Campbell might sue Cadbury
Naomi Campbell’s not cool with being compared to chocolate. The supermodel and her mom are furious over a Cadbury chocolate advertisement stating, "Move over Naomi, there’s a new diva in town."
The ad doesn’t mention Naomi’s full name or show her face, but the supermodel didn’t appreciate the unapproved reference.
“I am shocked," Naomi told The Independent. "It’s upsetting to be described as chocolate, not just for me, but for all Black women and Black people. I do not find any humour in this. It is insulting and hurtful.”
Naomi is now calling for a boycott of Cadbury products and she’s considering legal action.
Nick Cannon vs. Piers Morgan
Nick Cannon has a problem with British journalist Piers Morgan, who he says hits on Mariah Carey whenever the two meet.
“I know there’s this nasty undertone that you have every time you say something about my wife, I can just imagine what you’re thinking,” said Nick, who admitted he was threatening Piers.
Nick said that he and Mariah are happy to have beaten the odds and still be together three years later.
“I’ve always loved her. I’ve always been a huge fan. That was like my celebrity crush,” Nick said about Mariah.
Find out what else he had to say below.
Are Romeo and Jordin Sparks dating?
It probably shouldn’t be a surprise that a woman who’d compete—and win—on “American Idol” is the type who goes after what she wants. And in the case of Jordin Sparks, that goes for romance, too.
“I made the move,” said Jordin, who invited Romeo to a Hangover II premiere.
The two haven’t admitted to dating exclusively, but they’re definitely spending time together. Jordin wouldn’t describe it as a love connection, but instead decided to call it a, “’we’re-really-compatible, this-is-awesome, let’s-have-fun’ connection.”
Eve needs Lil Kim to stop
It looks like Lil Kim is on the anti-Nicki Minaj island all alone.
Female emcee Eve doesn’t support Kim in her vendetta against the Young Money artist.
“I need her to stop,” Eve said. “It’s not a good look. If I was her friend, I’d tell her, ‘yo, just come back bigger and better.’ The best way to get at people is to do you better than you’ve ever done you.”
Eve said she’s not one to hate on any female rap artist who’s doing her thing.
“Nicki definitely is holding the flag down, and a lot of people be wanting me to hate just because that’s how girls [are] supposed to do in hip-hop, but I’m loving everything she does,” Eve said.
Tami must be upset
If Tami Roman really did go through with that lawsuit she planned on filing against fellow “Basketball Wives” co-star Evelyn Lozada, she obviously lost.
Evelyn is already selling her shirts with the phrase, “You are a non F’N factor…” online.
The shirts sell for about $30 and come in tees and tanks and in varying colors.
