Beyoncé isn’t losing any more sleep or shedding any more tears over lost love in her new single.
After a very eventful week, Bey isn’t through yet. The Houston diva has dropped a ballad celebrating a breakup titled "Best Thing I Never Had."
While most women sit around mourning a failed relationship, Beyoncé is glad her ex-boo bounced. "Thank God you blew it, thank God I dodged a bullet," she sings. "I’m so over you, so baby, good lookin’ out … you turned out to be the best thing I never had."
As Bey belts out lines like "what goes around comes back around" and "it sucks to be you right now," the Babyface-penned track will likely become her newest single-girl anthem. The new track is to 4 what "Irreplacable" was to B’Day and "Single Ladies" was to I Am…Sasha Fierce.
Hopefully for Beyoncé, "Best Thing I Never Had" will do better with her fans than "Who Run the World (Girls)" did. Not even her powerhouse performances at the Billboard Music Awards and "The Oprah Winfrey Show" finale boosted sales for that track, which is currently sitting at #50 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Unlike last week’s leak of "Till The End of Time," the release of "Best Thing I Never Had" was intentional, so there’s little risk of it disappearing from the Internet. Take a listen below and tell us what you think.
