Although she’s still getting to know her co-stars, Meeka Claxton, the newest cast member of “Basketball Wives,” has already been deemed a troublemaker, but blame it on the editing.

"That’s just not me; you know, but I can’t be mad because that’s what I signed up for," Meeka told New York’s Power 105 radio hosts.

Meeka, who requested to be on the VH1 reality series, thought the exposure would give her a chance to show a more positive side of being a basketball wife, not the chance to step into the ring. "I really wanted to just do me, like show my business. I’m building an office out there and I tried to stay away from all that," she said referring to the drama that the hit show is known for.

Instead, Monday night’s premiere introduced viewers to a Meeka who goes head-to-head with co-star Tami Roman and threw Royce Reed under the bus; although, Meeka denies trying to do that.

Meeka said the conversation she had in which she dissed Royce’s outfit was started by co-stars Evelyn Lozada, Jennifer Williams and Shaunie O’Neal, the “queen bees” of the show.

"The question asked was, ‘What she look like? What she had on? Did she have on them knee-high Converses?" I was like, ‘No, she actually looked cute,’" Meeka explained.

This wasn’t Meeka’s perceived effort to try to fit in, but her way of giving everyone a chance, she said. Despite what viewers saw on TV, Meeka said Suzie has won the title of her favorite. "That’s my girl… she’s fun like she’s so light-hearted. Nothing is a big deal to her and I love it," she said.

Although she’s made at least one friend, when asked about returning for another season, Meeka paused and said it’s in the air. "I really don’t like what I saw in the first episode…I can only imagine what’s more to come."
