Sherri Shepherd is pressed to whittle herself down to fit into her wedding gown since she lied about her size.
Every bride knows how she wants to look on her wedding day, and many of them hit the gym to fit their own vision. Sherri, as it turns out, is no different.
"The View" co-host revealed to People magazine that she’s found the dress for her upcoming nuptials in August. It’s a "beautiful, just gorgeous" Rivini gown, but there’s a small chance she may have fudged the order a bit by giving the dress shop the wrong size.
By "small chance", we mean she totally did. “I started on the South Beach Diet because I gave them my fantasy size, so I now got to get into it,” Sherri explained. “Elisabeth [Hasselback of 'The View'] told me to tell the truth, but I lied. So I’m going to the gym and starting Zumba tomorrow.”
Wedding dress woes aside, things seem to be shaping up nicely for Sherri’s big day. She and future hubby Lamar Sally are putting on their boogey shoes as they practice their first dance as man and wife, a sassy Samba.
Sherri’s wedding party is also getting in-step for a wedding reception routine. “We’re all going to do a choreographed dance to a Chris Brown song,” she revealed. “Elisabeth Hasselbeck has a robot solo. She does a very sexy robot, so I cannot wait to get that going!”
Sherri’s BFF, Niecy Nash, and Niecy’s new husband, will also be part of the wedding party, which is a complete role reversal for the happy couples.
“They introduced Sal and I,” Sherri explained. “Two years later, we’re still together. They’re going to be in our wedding, as a matter of fact.”
It should come as no surprise to anyone that Sherri’s 6-year-old son Jeffrey will be walking her down the aisle in August. Hopefully he can hold his mom steady as she prepares to jump the broom despite a few jitters.
“Yes, I’m very nervous," Sherri admitted. "It’s the second time—I want to do it right!”
