Jamie missed most of the awards show, but we chatted with Oakland rapper Too Short and Let’s Stay Together creator James Cofer in the hallway before rushing over to Mr. Chow. The Interscope/Geffen event at Mr. Chow was one of the hottest tickets in town. Artists like Game, the Braxtons, Drummer Boy, Mindless Behavior, Flo Rida and Dondria strolled around the back patio, while we shared Mr. Chow’s signature lettuce chicken wraps and chicken spaghetti with upcoming artists Timothy Bloom and V. After chatting with Lance Gross, Vincent Herbert and Tiny, we got a call that Cee Lo Green, Gip of Goodie Mob, Tami Roman and Tamala Jones were eating dinner at Katana. We inched out of Mr. Chow, which by this time was packed like sardines, and made our way to Katana. Jamie rubbed on Cee Lo’s belly and laughed with the other ladies. They were headed to Diddys’s party and asked us to come, but we were having no parts of it. We were tired and hungry and passed on Puff for some God-awful pancakes at Mel’s Diner in Hollywood. Yes, Mel’s Diner is a real place.
