Jill Scott admits that while she’s lost a lot of weight, the public shouldn’t expect to see a drastic change in her frame.
Jennifer Hudson, Jordin Sparks and Raven-Symoné have all reformed their bodies, going from fab and full-figured to slim and trim. Jill, whose new album Light of the Sun debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 this week, doesn’t think she’ll be joining that list of names any time soon.
The singer recently revealed to Us Weekly that she’s lost 63 pounds over the last two years and currently weighs in at 200 pounds. She said she’s managed to size down by eating three low-fat meals a day and working out three times with her trainer Scott Parker.
Scott has her do three 60-minute cardio and strength training sessions every time they meet.
Jill knew she had to make a change when she’d "walk up nine steps and be out of breath!" While she is sporting a sleeker physique these days, she said she’ll "never be a stick figure."
Ultimately, though, the singer decided to get in shape for her son, Jett, who was born in 2009. "There’s a world of discovery in his eyes, and I want to be around to enjoy it," she said.
